Engaging Theatre Students, Audiences, and Yourself in a Virtual World
We want to take a moment to thank you for attending the Projects with Jason Webinar.
We believe in collaboration with you to provide quality experiences to supplement your curriculum in this upcoming 2020-2021 academic year.
The August 16, 2020 Projects with Jason webinar available to share with those who may have missed last night’s live edition.
You can support the ongoing work of Projects with Jason (PwJ) as we continue to offer students and educators a range of unique educational opportunities and resources, by creating meaningful interactions with professional theatre artists, and providing young people a stage to develop and showcase their talents.
Your membership in our Patreon program helps sustain this current slate of free offerings, contributes to the creation of new programming, helps cover related production expenses, and provides much needed support to our guest artists, especially as they await a return to live performance.
Each level of support, we have created resources to help make your use of our free content more interactive and meaningful to you and your students. We are also developing a slate of Premium Experiences and are excited to tell you more about these at tomorrow’s webinar.
For those who would prefer to pay a one-time annual membership, rather than a monthly fee, we have a special BACK TO SCHOOL option, with a one-time payment equivalent to receiving one month free!
Email firstname.lastname@example.org for one-time annual payment option.
If you have any questions or need help working with your school to get funding, please reach out email@example.com
StreamYard has become a welcome official sponsor of PwJ and is offering you a 14-day free trial with no credit card to sign up. Click the link HERE to make an account and start seeing how easy it is for anyone to use StreamYard out the gate.
We have developed a wonderful relationship with StreamYard and have been able to stretch their tools and platform to pretty consistent analogs for standard theatre. We have created some best practices that allow the application to remain a robust way to broadcast material to any online audience.
It’s a great opportunity for students to become involved at a technical level, as you’ll hear later on, providing the opportunity to video switch, create videos and graphics, and also to explore other ways to use computer technology into the StreamYard studio performance space.
Examples of Supplemental Material + Resources
We are developing resources to make our free content more useful, interactive, and personal for your use in the classroom and with your students. One way we’re doing that is by creating supplemental study guides to accompany episodes of both TECH TABLE and ARTISTS IN CONVERSATION. We’ll be releasing guides such as this sample (which is designed for the Natasha Katz episode of TECH TABLE) monthly, throughout the year, for each of our existing episodes as well as new ones. This supplemental material is available to supporters of Projects with Jason, beginning at the “Contributor” level.
